Pisco Drink Recipes

Algarrobina

Ingredients:
1/2 cup of Pisco
1/4 cup Karo light corn syrup
1 cup Evaporated milk
1 Tablespoon Algarrobina
1 egg yolk
6 cubes of ice
Dash of cinnamon

Preparation:
Blend the egg and the milk in a blender on high.  Add the rest of the ingredients and blend for about 30 seconds, until smooth.  Pour into glass and sprinkle the top with cinnamon.

Serve in a Old Fashioned/Lowball glass or a red wine glass.  Yields 2-3 glasses.
Gringo Sour

Ingredients:
1/2 cup Pisco
1/2 cup Margarita mix*
1/4 cup Karo light corn syrup
1 egg white
6 cubes of ice
Angostura bitters

Preparation:
In a blender, mix all ingredients, except the egg white, until well blended. Add the egg white and blend for about 30 seconds, until foamy.  Pour into glass and add a drop or two of the Angostura bitters in the center of the drink.  Serve immediately.

Serve in a Old Fashioned/Lowball glass.  Yields 2-3 glasses.

*Minute Maid Frozen Limeade concentrate can also be used



Chilcano

Ingredients:
Pisco (Quebranta)
Sprite, 7UP or any lemon-lime soda*.
Slice of lime

Preparation:
Fill glass with ice.  Then, fill glass about 1/3 with pisco and top off with soda.  Add a slice of lime to the edge of the glass.

Serve in a Collins or Highball glass.  Yields 1 glass.

*Alternately, ginger ale and lime juice can be used.  If using ginger ale, add a teaspoon of lime juice and mix.
